How do I properly utilize the Slide app through the MaxRebates portal?

Normally clicking on a link through maxrebates takes you directly to a website where you can shop via a referral link. However when clicking the Slide link through MaxRebates it takes you to a page that asks you to download the app; even if you have the app.
