Prolific studies with no device icon

Some Prolific studies have no icons which tell you what kind of devices I can use. I have a smartphone, chromebook, and tablet. But when I try to sign up for any of these studies I always get the use appropriate device warning.
My best guess so far is that they are asking that you use a Windows or Mac based device. Am I correct? TIA
