Has anybody else had this issue with Prolific?
Hi, I've been using Prolific since Christmas and have made about an extra £60 since then. I'm a student who has lost their job due to the pandemic and can barely afford my rent, so any money is helpful.
I liked Prolific for the main reasons: 1. You cant get kicked out halfway through. 2. The pay was good.
However, this has happened twice now. I have completed 2 pretty long surveys, both over £5, in full. I can tell you what both were about, the hypothesis, how they tested it, and I 100% completed them in full.
Both surveys have been returned me to claiming I quit them. I contacted Prolific and they told me to contact the researchers, and in a week go back to them. In a week, one researcher didnt respond. The other told me that he could provide proof I quit, but wouldnt.
I went back to Prolific today with screenshots and asked them to look into this and they have simply said "if you return a study, we cant do anything about it".
I know I did these studies properly. Is something weird going on? Has anyone else experienced this?
