L&E Opinions runs various focus groups that always pay well. The majority of the studies are online, but there are some in-person ones as well. They have in-person locations in Austin TX, Charlotte NC, Cincinnati OH, Columbus OH, Denver CO, Kansas City MO, Minneapolis MN, Raleigh NC, St. Louis MO, Tampa FL, and San Francisco, CA.

Some of the studies will be a live interview with a webcam and/or phone, but others may be unmoderated. The exact requirements will vary depending on what the researcher needs, so be sure to check the requirements when completing the screening questionnaires. After answering the online questionnaire, you can see if you were instantly DQ'd by checking your recent activity. You may need to answer additional questions over the phone before you qualify for the study. I haven't personally used this site before, but people have reported being paid by it in one of the groups I'm part of.

Signup Requirements: Email, password, first name, last name, address, phone number, date of birth, and various other demographic questions.

Available Rewards: Rewards are sent from Tremendous.com They have Visa cards, and a variety of gift cards.

Referral Program: For every 20 new sign ups, you will receive a $20 gift card. Referrals count on a monthly basis only and referrals from previous months do not transfer into a new month. Referring users may give out your first and last name. I wasn't able to confirm this, but there seems to be a high possibility of it. It also seems you need to send out a referral to each person individually. You will need their full name, phone number, and email.

You can choose from the following options for your earned gift card: Visa, Amazon, Athleta, Barnes & Noble, Best Buy, CVS/pharmacy, Gap, Lowe's, Old Navy, Overstock.com, Regal Cinema, the Cheesecake Factory, The Home Depot or Walmart.
