Prolific needs a picture of your ID ?

I started using prolific when I saw a post about it the other day , but I can’t do any of the Surveys bc I haven’t verified my ID yet ... I’m not sure I totally feel comfortable doing that as it’s something I started on a whim and don’t know much about it. Has anyone else used it , do you feel safe doing so ?
