New to Pulse Labs

I have just signed up for Pulse Labs on my smartphone and it is showing that I have to take some kind of test with Google Assistant and add an extention to Chrome browser to continue. I do not have a laptop to install this extention right now as I haven't replaced my old one that crapped out on me. How can I continue with Pulse Labs without having to install this extention? Also, does Pulse Labs have an app? I can't seem to find one. Please excuse my ignorance. I have very little knowledge of technology today.
