Credit Card compromised days after downloading Cash Back Apps

Posted on this reddit page a few days ago wondering if these cash back apps are safe and after getting some trustworthy replies I downloaded a few. Just a few days later there's been unusual activities and usage on my credit card and now I'm wondering is it just a coincidence? Apps I downloaded are; Pei, Dosh, Hooch, and Drop. Did I do something wrong? Any of these have shady pasts?
