Is gg2u asking for ID verification from someone else?

Recently while requesting a payout I received this e-mail from gg2u:

Hi , We'll need to do a one-time verification of your GG2U account before we can process your payout. Just reply to this message with a copy of your driver's license (both front and back) and a recent utility bill showing your name and mailing address. 

This seems a little absurd to me and invading my privacy, I think they may need this verification to confirm my survey answers even thought I have not done any but I do not feel safe sharing my information like that, did anyone else receive this?
