Drop question: Do games/app offers unlock gift card redemptions?

For anyone who hasn't heard the news, Drop has locked $25-50 gift cards until you complete an offer from them. I read on this sub that free trials will unlock it, but I'm currently at ~45,000 points. I was thinking of doing one of the app offers to get me to 50,000 for redemption before I delete the app forever. So question is: will an app/game count to unlock gift cards or do I actually have to complete a shop offer?
