Introducing BYBE | Literal Beermoney (Alcohol Rebates)
Hey guys,
Bybe is an app that offers alcohol rebates for many of the top brands for beers, wine, and spirits.
Before we go further, it's worth reminding everyone that BYBE is only available to people living in the US who are over the age of 21. Also, BYBE is not available in every state, and all offers are not available to all of the states they have offers for.
Most offers will be available in the following states: AZ, CA, CO, FL, IA, IL, MA, MI, MN, NM, NV, OH, OR, TN, VA, WA and WI. However, not all of the offers are available to all of these. You'll have to sort by your state to see your state's offers. There might be other states as well as the ones listed, so just because you don't see your state here, feel free to download and see if I missed listing you.
Alright, now that the below 21 gang is gone, we can get into what this app's all about.
Introducing BYBE
BYBE is a very easy rebate app, really. Automatic PayPal payments for each rebate, with no minimum.
BYBE does stack with other rebates apps, by the way. It's an entirely stand alone app. The bottom of this post will talk about some other alcohol rebates apps that you also might not be aware of.
The reason that I think BYBE is actually the best alcohol rebates app is because of the sheer amount of offers they have. Comparing to iBotta (the largest rebates app), BYBE not only has more brands offered, but they also have more well known brands offered. Scrolling through iBotta, I can hardly even recognize many of the brands listed... but BYBE (in MI) currently has many known brands, like White Claw, Smirnoff, Bud Light (Seltzers, too), Miller Light, Coors Light, and a ton more. Offers on BYBE also have a publicly set expiration (usually a couple months into the future), while iBotta's offers change often, so you never know what you're going to find.
The one most overlooked feature of BYBE is the fact that you don't need to "active" the offers. You can use it retroactively. So let's say you go and buy some Spiked Arnold Palmer from any store, and then you get home and check BYBE and see there's an offer for $3 back for that purchase. Nice! You can just upload your receipt. It's low effort, and since so many brands are offered, you'll likely be finding money you didn't know you'd get. This just happened this week when I bought a bottle of Smirnoff. Got home and realized there was a $4 back rebate for the purchase.
So let's get into how it works.
How it works:
- Download the app (or use their web app).
- Sign up and view offers available to you.
- Buy alcohol.
- Match offers, and upload your receipt.
- Within 48 hours, you'll get paid on PayPal.
It's really that easy.
The one unfortunate thing about BYBE is that many of the offers have a use limit of one. So if I buy 18 packs of white claw, I would only be able to receive a rebate on one of them.
Other Alcohol Rebates Apps
So, in addition to BYBE, you can use other apps to stack the rebates. I'll go into detail on some of them here. Note that there seems to be dozens of rebates apps these days that all do around the same thing. I'm not going to list every rebates app that exists, just because they have one or two alcohol rebates offers. I'm just listing the best that should have a decent number of offers.
iBotta
As mentioned above, iBotta is a good option for alcohol rebates. Their selection isn't as great as BYBE, but they are the largest rebates app, so it's a good one to have regardless. I trust that a lot of the people reading this are already aware of iBotta, so I'm not going to write more about it. If you're not familiar, you can read more about it in the most common beermoney sites megathread.
Fetch
Fetch is a receipt-upload rebates app that gives you points every time you purchase specific brands. There's a lot of brands among various types of goods you might purchase, but here are the current (as of posting) alcohol brands they are offering: Arnold Palmer Spiked, Blue Moon, Cape Line, Coors Banquet, Coors Light, Crispin Cider Company, Foster's, Grolsch Lager, Hamm's Beer, Henry's Hard Soda, Henry's Hard Sparking, Icehouse, Keystone Light, Killians, Leinenkugel's, Mickey's, Miller 64, Miller Genuine Draft, Miller High Life, Miller Lite, Milwaukee's Best Light, Molson Canadian, Peroni Italy, Pilsner Urquell, Redd's Apple Ale, Redd's Wicked, Smith & Forge Hard Cider Sol, Steel Reserve, and Steel Reserve Alloy Series.
So, if any of these are brands you'd see yourself purchasing, you could be getting some cash back from Fetch. They also have over 300+ brands from other categories, so I'd recommend it regardless.
Conclusion
While BYBE, iBotta, and Fetch are the best opportunities for alcohol rebates, there are many rebates apps that exist that will list a category for "beer, wine, and spirits." Unfortunately, most of them are dry (lol).
Some people here might remember an app that was almost started on /r/beermoney a few years ago called bevRAGE. It was similar to BYBE the the way it functioned, but they shut down a while back.
