Laptop or desktop only opportunities- question

So I've noticed that some beer money opportunities only allow you to do it on laptop or desktop. This includes some surveys, sites such as user testing, and some user crowd opportunities.

I need to but something anyway since I'm getting back into freelance writing but I'm wondering whether a chrome book also counts as a laptop for these beer money sites, or is it its own cagegory? I'd prefer a Chromebook but if it discriminates me from beer money opportunities then I would rather get a laptop.
