Selling plasma?

I'm a little tight on cash and thinking of selling plasma to make a little extra money but I've never done it before so I have a few questions. What are some non sketchy places that will buy plasma? How different is it than donating blood? I've done blood before but my father told me not to do plasma because it's worse and never explained why.
