Anybody else concerned about the amount of data being collected by shady ad companies?

I tried to get into beermoney recently and tried a lot of apps and services, but I'm very concerned about all this data collection. The occasional five bucks payout doesn't seem to justify that. Is there anything I'm missing? I don't want to give app permission to give away my phone id to companies I've never heard about without an easy way to revoke these permissions.
