How does one earn a decent amount of points using Perk?

I have all of the Perk apps available in my country (The United States) and I am using most of them to try and earn perk points. I’m getting barely any points though!! I see people saying in their earnings per month that they’re getting dollars in the double- digits from Perk but I don’t know how they manage to do it. Am I doing something wrong? How can I maximize my perk points earnings?
