Are there any browser extensions or Tampermonkey scripts that will convert the money values listed from GBP(£) to USD($)?

I've tried the following Chrome Extensions:

• Chrome Currency Converter - I know that it at least recognizes monetary values because it has a setting to display the original amount in parentheses after the conversion - like "£12 ($10.32)" - but it doesn't actually convert the currency. It looks like "£10 ($10)."
• Automatic Currency Converter - It does nothing.
• Currency Converter - It does nothing.

I figured whatever scripting is going on behind the scenes could be making it difficult for these to work on Prolific, so I also wrote a Pastebin paste with some money values. Chrome Currency Converter actually DID work in this case! However, that still doesn't help me with Prolific. I'm guessing it just can't see through whatever scripting Prolific uses to display values from their database.

Then I searched greasyfork.org to try some Tampermonkey scripts... but didn't find any that would apply. They were all highly specific to particular websites, usually sports betting sites.

I've written plenty of Tampermonkey scripts to help automate different web tasks I regularly perform manually, but my JS skills are too unpolished right now to know how to connect to an API which would be needed for accurate conversions, since exchange rates change multiple times a day (as opposed to just using a flat equation). That sounds like a fun project to improve my JS skills so I'll look into that when I have time, but for now - are you aware of any scripts that could achieve this?
