Thoughts on Prolific Cash-out and the tanking of GBP to USD exchange rates?

I joined Prolific in March, but only really got going on it in about June. However, just from being on it that long, I have watched the GBP to USD exchange rate tank from about 1.31 GBP/1.00 USD to now, 1.22 GBP/ 1.00 USD.

Not knowing much about financial forecasts or how to read them, I saw the exchange rate slipping in April but thought it might go back up, so I waited to cash out on Prolific. That has turned out to be a real boneheaded move, as GBP to USD has dropped quite precipitously in July.

In terms of cashing out my current Prolific balance, that comes out to about an $8 difference if I was to cash out today.

So, anybody with knowledge on global financial markets have any thoughts? Should I wait to see what happens with Brexit? Or cut my losses and cash out now? How would different Brexit outcomes likely affect the exchange rate? I have no idea how to read exchange rate forecasts, so any education there would be helpful, too.
