Concern/question about Honeygain

I just started using Honeygain and am a little concerned about how the whole process works. If I understand it correctly, they are essentially selling off my unused internet access. My concern is, how can I know that whoever purchased this unused internet isnt using it to download illegal content or go to illegal websites. To me it doesn't seem worth the risk if that is the case. Maybe someone else has a better understanding of this process and can explain it to me. Thanks very much.
