Reassurance on the safety of surveys

Hi, I'm seriously considering taking surveys for extra income for the first time, especially since my hours have been cut at my current job. It's only a part-time summer job, as I'll be going back to school across the country, and I want to get into the flow of semi-passively saving up money.

I have a few questions about taking surveys:

Is it safe to give my name and date of birth? I'm worried about identity theft of course, so I want to make sure that any site I use is secure. The website that most catches my eye is Prolific Academic, because I've heard it only sends you surveys you qualify for, and it has generally interesting surveys. I'm not using any of my main email addresses, as I have a few extra emails I use for junk stuff, so I'll probably take one of the lesser used ones and dedicate it to surveys if I decide to go forward with this.

How do I set up a reliable method for payment? I took a random survey from a university recently, and the reward was an individual $10 mastercard, which was difficult to transfer. I ended up adding the card to paypal, sending the money to my brother on paypal, and asking him to send it back. I'm kind of inexperienced in this area, and that method seems both tedious and insecure. If we take this area of concern to the extreme, I don't think I want to ever give any website my banking information.

Lastly, does taking surveys get to your psyche? I hope that I won't be taking them hour after hour multiple days a week. If I can spend one to two hours a month, maybe even a week, and start to develop a meaningful savings and investing account, that would be great, but I don't want it to eat into my time that much, or for the surveys to start affecting the things I think and worry about.

Those are my main concerns.
