Paid Research Studies

Hi, I live near Michigan State University and University of Michigan, and I often participate in psychological studies. I am interested in medical experiments because they pay more. There's one about testing a vaccine that I'm interested in, but I'm a little nervous about it. Has anyone participated in medical experiments like this? How did it go? What are your thoughts? Thanks.
