Is paytime (app for students) legit? Or a scam?

I’m trying to redeem my points and they are asking me to activate my card. For card type, they give you the option of choosing your ID Card, passport, ssn, or DL. This sounds a bit weird to me, I’ve never really been asked this when doing redeeming from other sites. Is this something you guys encountered? It just made me feel weirded out when there was an option of choosing to put your SSN info to access the card. What did you guys choose? Or is this even something I should trust and continue doing? Thanks!

Edit: one more question, if I want to connect to PayPal which uses a personal email, do I have to add the school email into my PayPal account or can I just put in my personal email address when I’m filling in the information to activate the card?
