Ibotta App Team

I’ve been a member of Ibotta for a while but haven’t been earning much from it. I think it’s because most of the brands are pricy. But I just learned that you can join a team. Is this worthwhile?

Dumb question - do you have to bring your phone into the store in order to use the app? Sometimes my husband goes shopping so I’m wondering if I can add the products before he shops.
