Gift card legal disclaimer

I recently purchased an Aeropostale gift card on Amazon. I want to exchange it for cash on Card Kangaroo or a similar site, but I just saw on the listing of the gift card I purchased and the listing has this legal disclaimer, as I assume most gift cards have: "This card is not redeemable for cash unless required by law. Any resale or other unauthorized use of this card will render it void and subject to cancellation." So does this mean I can exchange this card for cash on a site like Gift Card Granny, or does it mean I can't?
